Many of the people who visit this website are older, or are looking for care for someone who is. We want everyone to be able to use it comfortably, whatever their sight, hearing, mobility or memory.
What we've done
This website aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That includes:
- Large, clear text and strong color contrast throughout.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a clear outline showing where you are.
- Screen readers can read every page: images have text descriptions, and every form field is labelled.
- Pages reflow on phones and when zoomed in, without sideways scrolling.
- No flashing, auto-playing or moving content, and smooth scrolling is switched off if you've asked your device to reduce motion.
- Links and buttons are large enough to tap easily, and form errors are explained in words, not just color.
- You can reach us by phone, email or the online form, whichever suits you best.
Helpful tips
- Make text bigger: press Ctrl and + (Windows) or Command and + (Mac). On a phone or tablet, pinch to zoom.
- Show your password while typing it: use the "Show" button next to any password box.
- Skip straight to the main content: press Tab once when a page opens, then Enter.
